Cask Faq
We do not sell casks of Bladnoch Single Malt Scotch Whisky directly to the public or to any whisky brokers. We do sell casks of Kirkcowan Single Malt Scotch Whisky to a select group of Whisky Brokers.
No, Kirkcowan New Make Spirit is different to Bladnoch New Make Spirit. It is still made from the same high quality ingredients at our award winning distillery in the Scottish Lowlands. However the flavour profile is distinct through differences in the production process. A cask of Kirkcowan may not be sold as a cask of ‘Bladnoch Single Malt Scotch Whisky’ as they are not interchangeable.
Yes! Kirkcowan Single Malt Scotch Whisky is being released in late 2022 via a network of partner resellers. This official bottling of Kirkcowan is the first bottling of this new single malt from the distillery, and we expect to see many more bottlings in future, both official releases, and from independent bottlers.
You can put ‘Kirkcowan’ on the label as this is the Scotch Whisky that has been bottled. You cannot put ‘distilled at Bladnoch’ on the label unless you have express permission from the distillery. Should you wish to enquire about a potential label, please email us at info@bladnoch.com
We do not guarantee repurchase of any cask, however if you are interested in selling your cask to the distillery please contact info@bladnoch.com with your cask details including cask number, distillation date, proof of purchase, and details of broker from where it was purchased. Please note that we are unable to offer a valuation, or authenticate casks you do not own.
A sample can be arranged through your broker, there is a cost associated and it may take several weeks.
All casks sold to brokers are stored in our large long term warehouses at Bladnoch. These warehouses are not accessible to the public and so viewing your cask will not be possible.
Bladnoch Distillery does not offer storage accounts for private individuals, if you wish to transfer your cask into your name, it will also need to be moved to be stored at another facility. Please speak with your broker about this.
We are unable to advise on pricing or any other advice with regards to purchasing casks. As with any transaction, we advise you to conduct your own due diligence before purchasing.
We sell to a select group of brokers directly, please email us to confirm if you have been made an offer of a cask and you wish to check if they are a direct customer of ours.
For any further questions, please contact the distillery by email on info@bladnoch.com Our distillery team are unable to assist via telephone so please direct all queries via our email address.
