Welcome to Year Three in the five-year journey to explore the world of whisky maturation like never before. Bladnoch’s Master Distiller, Dr Nick Savage, continues the Waterfall Collection, highlighting the journey that our whisky takes to mature its flavours and character. 

Released annually, each batch in the Waterfall Collection demonstrates a different way that the same aged Bladnoch Single Malt can be matured for a completely unique taste.

In the previous years, we enjoyed the first Waterfall Release at the beginning of its journey, matured in a combination of ex Bourbon and ex Oloroso Sherry casks. The remaining whisky was placed into Oloroso Sherry Puncheons in Year Two.

Today, we continue our maturation journey with Batch 03.

This whisky has spent the last year in Port Pipes developing new notes of aged dates with nutmeg, root ginger, and a slightly peppery finish.
